Topic: Highway Trust Fund

Jim Burnley contacted us to let us know that the Surface Transportation Bill would be coming to the floor of the house and he would not be able to leave Washington. If you've heard the recent radio ads about the monster trucks coming to mangle every minivan in sight; you can appreciate Jim's upcoming challenges since he is working with the trucking industry. We have lined up an excellent replacement speaker.

Registration 4:45 PM
Pre-Dinner Networking Reception
5:00 - 6:00 PM
Dinner Meeting 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Adjourn 8:00 PM

Look at how the developments in Highways can affect our supply chains. The speaker will discuss the declining state of the Highway Trust Fund, what is needed to promote a national vision and action plan for transportation infrastructure funding; the current and future role of private investment funds via toll roads and other alternatives to traditional funding mechanisms; also will talk about current Congressional and USDOT proposals and discussions.

Chip Nottingham is a partner and member of Williams Mullen's Federal Government Affairs group. He has more than 20 years of government relations and public policy experience, including serving in senior positions in Congress, the U.S. Department of Transportation and state government. In addition to working with clients on a wide range of government relations matters, Mr. Nottingham brings a wealth of knowledge to Williams Mullen's transportation and infrastructure practice.
